The Untamed [2019]

The Untamed is a historical fantasy series that is about Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji. The two main characters meet when they are training. They get involved in a secret that people have kept hidden for a long time. Wei Wuxian dies, but then he comes back sixteen years later because of a ritual. He keeps his identity a secret. When Wei Wuxian meets Lan Wangji again, they work together to figure out what is going on now and what really happened in the past.

To me, The Untamed is not a fantasy drama. It is really about the relationship between Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji. As the story goes on, their trust and understanding of each other develop in a way, and I got really into their story. The mystery was interesting. The sad moments really got to me. I liked how Wei Wuxian is so loyal to his brother and how his sister gives up her life for him. It is also nice to see that Lan Wangji stays devoted to Wei Wuxian even when other people betray him. The sixteen years that Lan Wangji had to wait made their relationship stronger. It is even sadder.

At first it might be hard to follow because there are a lot of characters and families and connections to keep track of. Do not let that stop you from watching it. The story explains everything as it goes on. If you like fantasy and mystery and stories that make you feel something, and you like when the characters have good relationships, then you should totally watch The Untamed. It has 50 episodes, which seems like a lot. Once you get into the story, it goes by really fast. When it ends, you will probably think about it for a while.

Cherry Magic BL Drama Recommendation (2023)

Cherry Magic is a Thai BL series about an office employee named Achi who suddenly gets the ability to hear people’s thoughts when he turns 30. He has always been shy and lacking confidence, so he never expects anything exciting to happen in his life.

 Things become interesting when Achi discovers that Karan, one of the handsome and capable employees in his office, has feelings for him. Karan is always kind to Achi, pays attention to him, and genuinely cares about him. Achi is surprised to find out that the person he never thought would notice him actually has a crush on him.

 I really enjoyed watching Cherry Magic because it’s such a cute and feel-good BL. The story has plenty of moments, but it also has some sweet and emotional scenes. I especially liked Achi and Karan’s relationship because it feels gentle and wholesome. The chemistry between the leads is one of the best parts of the series, and their little moments together can easily make you smile.

 I also liked that the story is not about romance. Achi slowly becomes more confident. The series shows how kindness and support from someone can make a difference. If you enjoy romance, funny moments and a lovable couple, this BL drama recommendation is worth checking out.

KinnPorsche (2022)

“KinnPorsche” is a Thai BL drama that mixes romance, action, comedy and the scary world of crime. The story is all about Kinn, who’s the second son of a very powerful mafia family.

Everything changes when Kinn meets Porsche.

Porsche is a bartender who is actually a very good fighter.

At first, Porsche says no to being the bodyguard for Kinn after he sees an attack happen. Even though Porsche really does not want to get mixed up with the mafia, Kinn uses his influence. Porsche ends up taking the job because of problems with his family.

Getting used to the world of Kinn is not easy for Porsche. Porsche has to learn how to live a life that feels very strange to him while meeting new people. At the start, the relationship between Kinn and Porsche is full of fights and tension. As Kinn and Porsche spend more time together, they start to feel a much deeper connection.

What I really loved about “KinnPorsche” is that the show does not just focus on romance. The whole series has a lot of action, drama, funny moments and suspense. I also think there is chemistry between Kinn and Porsche, which makes watching Kinn and Porsche together so much fun.

The story can get very intense sometimes. If you want a light and easy BL, this might not be the show for you. If you like action, strong chemistry and complicated stories, I think KinnPorsche is a great choice.
